Who’s the team bringing all this information to the Internet?

Jeanne Hurlbert holds a PhD in sociology. She’s an expert in survey research, social networks, and social media.

Through her company, she’s conducted research for such government agencies as the US Army Corps of Engineers. In fact, when the Corps put together its expert teams to document what happened after Hurricane Katrina, they tapped Jeanne for the social science team. She also helps companies craft surveys and build survey systems that ensure they have the information they need, when they need it. She’s worked with such clients as URS and the Tony Robbins companies.

Jeanne can do all this because she’s spent more than two decades using survey research to study how individuals’ social networks affect how people find jobs, get social support, recover from disasters, improve their health, and become more satisfied with their jobs. She’s Professor of Sociology at Louisiana State University, where she’s been on the faculty for more than 20 years.

Jeanne grew up in Sunbury, NC (population 250). She earned her BA in Sociology at the College of William and Mary, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her MA and PhD degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has published her survey research in top social science journals, has served on the sociology panel of the National Science Foundation, and just completed a term as Vice President of the Southern Sociological Society.

She has been featured or quoted in such media as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Oprah and Friends, smSmallBiz.com, Forbes.com, Monster.com, Juneau.com, US News and World Report, Radio-TV Interview Report, Health, Smart Money, The Christian Science Monitor, CNN, National Public Radio, The History Channel, ABC News Now, and Business Talk This Morning.

Her offices are in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Some of Mike Koenigs‘ clients include Deepak Chopra, Debbie Ford, and the Tony Robbins Companies. Geek, surfer, marketer, video producer, and didgeridoo player, Mike is best known as the guy who created the Web 2.0 syndication service, Traffic Geyser, which has distributed over 3 million videos in less than two years and generates top ranking, web traffic, and leads in minutes by sending video content to over 70 video sites, social bookmarking and social media sites, blogs, and podcasting directories.

Mike grew up in Eagle Lake, MN (population 763), where he taught himself to program at age 14. He wrote video games for the first Mac game company, PCAI. In 1991, he co-founded Digital Cafe, one of the first interactive multimedia agencies that produced the first branded CD-ROM game, “Chex Quest” and shipped in more than 6 million boxes of General Mills cereal. Digital Cafe produced many of the world’s first movie web sites, promotional screen savers, and games for Sony, Columbia-Tristar, and 20th Century Fox. He sold the company during the dotcom boom to publicly-held IPG and billion-dollar agency Campbell-Mithun in 1999.

He’s credited for making “Infomercial Toolkit” and inventing the “Internet Infomercial” for marketing and selling products or services with video on the web.

Michael has served as producer, marketer, and consultant for Sony Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, 3M, General Mills, Dominos Pizza, Ralston, Mazda Motors, and New York Times bestseller authors including Deepak Chopra, Debbie Ford, and Tony Robbins. He’s created over 300 web sites and more than 30 products.

His studios are located in San Diego, CA.
